Cheap Tripods for DSLR Video Manfrotto After owning it for several weeks, I’ve decided to do a Manfrotto PIXI EVO Tripod review. While not a traditional tripod, I’ve found this table-top tripod to be a great addition to my computer bag and backpack. Now, I almost always have a tripod with me that I can use both with my DSLR and with my iPhone (when using the GRIPT mount). I’ve used it to shoot still images, to stabilize both my Canon 5D Mark III and my iPhone while filming video, and to hold my iPhone while using Skype and Facetime. In the video, I reveal a few tricks to make sure you’re camera will be stable whether you’re using a longer lens or shooting in portrait mode. Although small, this tripod will hold up to 5.5 lbs (2.5 kgs) and is surprisingly lightweight due to the polymer (“Adapto”) and aluminum construction. The wheel connected to the 1/4 inch thread also makes it quick and easy to remove your camera or mount. Overall, I really enjoy this tripod and am happy I made the decision to invest in it.
