The Korea Football Association (KFA) today announced its 23-man roster for the first two matches of the 2026 FIFA World Cup North America in Asia. The squad remains largely unchanged from the one that was called up in October and earned victories over Tunisia and Vietnam.레모나토토 도메인
In addition to captain Son Heung-min (Tottenham), overseas players such as Kim Min-jae (Bayern Munich), Lee Kang-in (Paris Saint-Germain), Lee Jae-sung (Mainz), Hwang Hee-chan (Wolverhampton), Cho Kyu-sung (Midtjylland), Hwang In-beom (Zvezda), Jung Woo-young (Stuttgart), Hong Hyun-seok (Gent), Oh Hyun-gyu (Celtic), Hwang Eui-jo (Norwich City), and Park Yong-woo (Al Ain) have been named.
Lee Ki-je (Suwon), Lee Sun-min (Gwangju), Moon Sun-min, Kim Jin-soo (Jeonbuk), Jeong Seung-hyun, Seol Young-woo, Kim Young-kwon, and Kim Tae-hwan (Ulsan), who have been consistently called up in the K League, also remained unchanged. Goalkeepers Kim Seung-kyu (Al-Shabab) and Cho Hyun-woo (Ulsan) were also included.
Compared to the October roster, goalkeeper Song Bum-geun (Shonan Belmare) rejoined the squad after a five-month absence, while Kim Jun-hong (Gimcheon) was dropped and defender Kim Joo-sung (Seoul) was left out due to a reduction in the size of the squad from 24 to 23 players. There was no need to make any changes to the squad, as Kim was one of the best performers in the team’s two A matches in October after registering his first win under Klinsmann against Saudi Arabia in June.
The team will convene at a hotel in Yeouido, Seoul, instead of the National Football Training Center (NFC) in Paju for the match on the 13th and will train at the Mokdong Stadium main stadium. The team will face Singapore in the first match of the World Cup qualifiers at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on the 16th, before departing for Shenzhen, China on the 19th and facing China on the 21st.
