SLIK PRO 700dx

This is a decent review of the SLIK Pro 700dx that really shows the height of this tripod.

SLIK PRO 700DX Features

You can flip the center column upside down to put your camera right on the ground – great for macro photography or creative shots.

With the head, the SLIK Pro 700dx weighs in at 7 pounds can handle up to 15 pounds of gear with the included pan head which has two bubble levels to help you get your shot aligned.  The tripod itself is rated for 22 pounds.

Next to the Manfrotto 055XPROB, this is probably one of the best selling tripods for DSLR out there today.  It’s well-made, sturdy, tall, and light.  It’s inexpensive, but of good quality.

SLIK PRO 700DX Pan Head

The SLIK PRO 700DX comes with a quick shoe system that makes it easy to change out cameras and gear and you can purchase additional shoes that you can just leave on your gear.  This can be a real time saver and can make the difference between getting or losing that award-winning photo (…even if it is a photo of the kids).  Just purchase a few extra shoes and put them on your various cameras and you’re good to go.

Of course, you can always change out the tripod head on the 700dx for another head, which makes this an attractive tripod if you are a beginner.

If you are doing a lot of macro work or if you’d like take photos near the ground, you can flip the center column upside down and put your camera just millimeters off the ground.

This is a popular tripod, is well rated by users on Amazon and it’s a bargain when you factor in the pan head that is included with this tripod.
